La Verne H. Timms

     La Verne H. Timms, 81, of Woodsfield, Ohio (formerly of Marr, Ohio) passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Arbors of Woodsfield, Ohio.

     She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 22, 1937 a daughter of the late Dale and Alice Crouse Homewood.

     LaVerne formerly worked for the S.S. Kresge Company, Stow, Ohio; the Chrysler Corporation, Twinsburg, Ohio 1959-1960; and was a former telephone operator for Ohio Bell, Akron, Ohio. She was also a Baptist by faith.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Timms on December 2, 1985; a daughter, Lori Webb; and a son, David Timms.

     Surviving are her children, Donald Timms Jr., Brian Timms, Larry Timms, Terry (Brenda) Timms, Ernest (Rebecca) Timms, Jimmy (Tiffany) Timms; a sister Mary Alice Homewood; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

     There will be no visitation. Following cremation, memorial services will be announced at a later date. Inurnment will follow in the Road Fork Baptist Cemetery near Harriettsville, Ohio.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.
