Leoba C. Archer

     Leoba C. Archer, 86, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Valley Hospice, Liza’s Place, Wheeling, West Virginia.

     She was born near Caldwell, Ohio on February 20, 1932 a daughter of the late John Albert Hupp and O’Tillia Nau Hupp.

     Leoba was a graduate of Caldwell High School, Caldwell, Ohio where she was Valedictorian of her class. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio where she was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club.  She and her husband, Paul worked at S.O.M.A. for 6 years.

     She enjoyed quilting, playing euchre, taking daily walks with her husband and devoted her life to her family.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother; three brothers, Howard, Edward, and Albert Hupp; three sisters, Mary Hill, Thelma Johnson, Luella Crum; son-in-law, Randy Fleeman; two grandsons, Dalton Ludwig and Phillip Paul Archer.

     Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Paul Archer, of the home; five daughters, Teresa Fleeman (Brent Ludwig), Catherine (Red) Woodby, Linda (Mike) McPherson, Pamela (Philip) Ludwig, Amy (Rick) Lewis; three sons, Gregory (Carol) Archer; Phillip (Debbie) Archer, Stephen (Vicki) Archer; two sisters, Agatha Schafer of Senecaville, Ohio, Rose (Ronnie) Schell of Caldwell, Ohio; two brothers, Art (Grace) Hupp and Norbert “Bill” (Janice) Hupp, all of Caldwell, Ohio; grandchildren, Jason, James, Maria, Lyndsay, Deena, Breanna, Daniel, Adam, Spencer, Joshua, Tyler, Justin, Thera, Evan, Derek, Devon, Sylvia, Cole, and Jesse; a bunch of great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2019, where vigil services will be held at 6:00 p.m.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio with Fr. Leonard T. Cencula as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Sylvester Catholic Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.

     Memorial contributions may be made to St. Sylvester School, 119 Wayne St., Woodsfield, Ohio.
