Linda Lee Young

Linda Lee Young, 73, of Lower Salem, Ohio passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the University Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.

She was born at Lima, Ohio on March 5, 1949 a daughter of the late Jack and Glenna Christian McCarty.

Linda was a devoted Christian and a homemaker by trade. She enjoyed gardening and buying and remodeling homes. The most important treasures in her life were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and serving the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Glen Young; two sisters, Deborah Oliver and Diane Burkholder; one brother, Robert McCarty; a son-in-law, Dana Stump and a granddaughter, Vada Bauerbach.

Surviving are her husband, Larry Young whom she married on July 29, 1963; four daughters, Tina (Jeff) Brown of Lima, Ohio, Jacqulyn Stump of Dunkirk, Ohio, Shannon (Terry) Robinson of Waterford, Ohio, Shain (Rick) Shipp of Woodsfield, Ohio; one son, Larry (Kristen) Young Jr. of Graysville, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Woodsfield Fire House, 38000 Old Airport Road, Woodsfield, Ohio from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022 where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Porter officiating.

Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
