Lois J. Baker

Lois J. Baker, 88, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.

She was born at Barnesville, Ohio on June 6, 1933 a daughter of the late George and Ethel Wharton Ackerman.

She was the former secretary/treasurer of the family business, Baker and Sons Equipment, Lewisville, Ohio and she was a member of the Stafford United Methodist Church, Stafford, Ohio.

 Lois enjoyed gardening, mowing, antiquing, traveling and spending time with family.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Scott Baker and a brother, Stanley Ackerman.

 Surviving are her husband, James John Baker whom she married on June 20, 1954; one daughter, Rhonda (Kevin) Marshall of Lewisville, Ohio; one son, Steve Baker and his companion, Vickie Kindle of Graysville, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Chris Baker of Lewisville, Ohio; one brother, Roger Ackerman of California; a sister-in-law, Jean Gilmore of Sunsbury, Ohio; five grandchildren, Chad Baker and his companion Ashley Armann, Nikki ( Jeremy) Lude, Cody (Josh) Booher, Scott Marshall, Casey (Gus) Lohrey; nine great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brantley and Brissa Baker; Harper and Sadie Booher; Greer and Blain Lude; Mia and Slade Lohrey; several nieces and nephews.

 Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 with Rev. Gary Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery, Lewisville, Ohio.
