Luella M. Burkhart

Luella M. Burkhart, 79, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Barnesville Hospital, Barnesville, Ohio.

She was born at Barnesville, Ohio on December 28, 1942 a daughter of the late Glen and Lorena Burkhardt Mayberry.

She was a homemaker and former bookkeeper/secretary for Cardinal Well Service, Woodsfield, Ohio.

She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg, Ohio where she was a member of the Catholic Womens Club.

Luella enjoyed gardening, playing cards, watching the birds and bowling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Otto Burkhart Jr. on January 19, 2020; three sisters, Eileen Doudna, Peggy Headley and Marty McCloud and one brother, Bill Mayberry.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Randy) Graham of Lewisville, Ohio, Kelly (Jeff) VanDyne of Beallsville, Ohio; two sons, Terry (Etta) Burkhart of Jerusalem, Ohio, Daniel (Odeta) Burkhart of Woodsfield, Ohio; one sister, Jean Baker of Barnesville, Ohio; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.  – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg, Ohio.

Burial will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Miltonsburg, Ohio.

Vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
