Marie I. Rose

     Marie I. Rose, 84, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Arbors of Woodsfield, Ohio.

     She was born near Woodsfield, Ohio on November 6, 1938 a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Oweda Jones Kinney.

     Marie was a former manager at the former Bakers Dozen, Woodsfield, Ohio; a former examiner at the former L.G.A.M. Sewing Factory, Woodsfield, Ohio and was a former custodian at the Monroe County Library, Woodsfield, Ohio. Marie was also a member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield, Ohio. She enjoyed listening to country music and was known for making her famous potato salad.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L. Rose on October 21, 2021; three sisters, Mabel Koehler, Lorna Kuhn and Marlene Mahoney; a brother, Ronald Kinney; and a grandson, Eric Rose.

     Surviving are three sons, Brian (Carla) Rose of Woodsfield, Ohio, Terry (Juanita) Rose of Woodsfield, Ohio, Kevin (Beth) Rose of Graysville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2023 with Sam Bartrug officiating.

     Burial will follow in the Graysville Church of Christ Cemetery, Graysville, Ohio.
