Martin Junior "Marty" Baker II

Martin Junior “Marty” Baker II, 37, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. 

He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on March 8, 1984 a son of Martin and the late Lana Potts Baker.

He currently worked for ODOT in Monroe County but previously worked at Ormet Corporation, AOS Oil Services and Allen’s Garage Doors. 

He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time in the woods hunting as well as get togethers with family and friends at the farm.  He also enjoyed sharing his love of hunting with his daughters who were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his fiancé, Schelley Scott and her daughter, Madilynn of Woodsfield, Ohio; two daughters, Raelynn and Hadley Baker of Woodsfield, Ohio; his father, Martin Junior Baker of Woodsfield, Ohio; two sisters, Lori (Neal) Mahoney of Woodsfield , Ohio and Missy (Todd) Hooper of Antioch, Ohio; four nieces, Josie and Summer Mahoney of Woodsfield, Ohio, Erica (Charlie) Carte of Antioch, Ohio, Brittany Hooper of Lodi, Ohio, and Faith Lumpkins Conway of South Carolina;  two nephews, Koleton Lumpkins and Boone Bedgood of Conway, South Carolina; great nephew and nieces; Miles and Alana Carte and Allie Frank.

Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021.

Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
