M. Maxine Keevert, 93, of Woodsfield, Ohio went home to be with Jesus on Monday, April 5, 2021.
She was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on April 9, 1927 a daughter of the late Edgar C. Bookhamer and the late Catherine E. Westover Young.
The joy of her life was loving Jesus and the love of her big family. She had a passion for feeding family, friends and all of God’s creatures.
She was a member of the New Life Church and a lifelong member of the Altoona High School Alumni.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph E. Keevert, a daughter Deborah Elaine Block, a granddaughter Christina Nixon Sciandra and a grandson Thomas Block; two brothers, Ronald and Larry Bookhamer; a sister Elaine Reynolds; three sons-in-law, Terry Neff, Jeffery Woodell and Charles White.
She was married to the late Walter VanSkiver Jr. to which was born six beautiful loving daughters the late Deborah (Joe) Block, Jeanneane (Darren) Robbins, Cathy C. (Gordon) Bippus, Bonnie (Steve) Cook, Rebecca (Tom) Stephen and Jennifer Woodell.
Maxine married the late Ralph E. Keevert in 1973 and gained a loving daughter, Patricia (Larry) Maddux and a son, Ronnie Keevert.
Her large family consisted of 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio with Pastor Gordon Bippus officiating.
