Melissa "Missy" A. Morris

     Melissa A. “Missy” Morris, 49, of Sardis, Ohio (Antioch Community) passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.

     She was born in Sistersville, West Virginia on January 23, 1970 a daughter of the late Freeman and Dora Belford Morris.

     She was a 1988 graduate of Skyvue High School near Graysville, Ohio and was a former worker at the M.A.C.O. Workshop, Woodsfield, Ohio. She was also a member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield, Ohio. Missy enjoyed doing plastic canvas crafts and spending time with her family.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tim Rodgers.

     Surviving are two sisters, Ethel Morris of Sardis, Ohio and Doris Jean Rodgers of Canton, Ohio; three nieces, Connie (Rob) Wolf, Marie (Daniel) McDonald, Virginia (Will) Dotson; one nephew, Timothy Rodgers Jr.; several great nieces and nephews; one great-great nephew; one great-great niece; and several cousins.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019.

     Friends will then be received from noon until time of services at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield, Ohio with Scott McFarland and Keith Jones officiating.

    Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery near Sardis, Ohio.
