Nancy L. Burkhart

Nancy L. Burkhart, 82, of Marietta and Sycamore Valley, Ohio passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at her home.

She was born at Wheeling, West Virginia on June 15, 1941 a daughter of the late Paul H. and Dorothy C. Breitfield Johnson.

Nancy was a retired surgical technician and home care provider. She was a member of the Gillman United Methodist Church, Marietta, Ohio. She was a lifelong Christian, devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was raised in Germano, Ohio and she raised her family in Brecksville, Ohio. She was a talented seamstress cook and baker. She enjoyed going to church and being  involved in Bible Study and the Women’s Circle at church.

Surviving are her husband, John E. Burkhart Sr. of Sycamore Valley, Ohio; two daughters, Dawn (Scott) Chew of Belle Valley, Ohio; Linda Weckbacher of Caldwell, Ohio;  one son, John E. (Deborah) Burkhart Jr. of Brecksville, Ohio; one brother, Ronald Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, Clay, Jason, Hanna, Nick and Kyle and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 Stat Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2024.

Burial will follow in the Creighton Ridge Cemetery near Sycamore Valley, Ohio.
