Phillip C. Hartshorn, 75, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at his home.
He was born near Graysville, Ohio on June 8, 1946 a son of the late Eugene and Eva Jean Highman Hartshorn.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Ohio Operating Engineers, Local 18, Akron, Ohio and was a former coal miner for Central Ohio Coal, Cumberland, Ohio. He was a member of Stafford Lodge 300 F. & A.M., Stafford, Ohio; a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Cambridge, Ohio and a member of the Alladin Shrine, Columbus, Ohio.
He enjoyed farming and spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and a brother-in-law, John Reid..
Surviving are his wife, Iris Young Hartshorn whom he married on December 31, 1966. Two daughters Elaine Hartshorn of Lewis Center, Ohio ; Amanda (Robb) Williams of Columbus, Ohio; one son Phillip Kevin Hartshorn of Lakewood, Ohio; three sisters, Louise Reid of Woodsfield, Ohio; Janice (David) McClister of Summerville, S.C.; Madelyn (Murray) Winland of Sapphire, N.C.; three brothers, Bob (Peggy) Hartshorn of Graysville, Ohio; Scott Hartshorn of Graysville, Ohio; Doug (Lisa) Hartshorn of Granville, Ohio; six grandchildren; Sarah Hartshorn, Andrew, Jared, and Ethan Wise, Dylan and Nick Williams.
There will be no visitation or service. As per Phillip’s wishes, a cremation will take place with inurnment at the convenience of the family.
