Richard L. Shreves, 86, of Cameron, Ohio (formerly of Tiltonsville, Ohio) passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at his home.
He was born at Tiltonsville, Ohio on October 16, 1935 a son of the late Bernard and Evelyn Beck Shreves.
He was a retired coal miner for North American Coal Co. and the Powhatan #4 mine. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War.
He enjoyed gardening and also enjoyed going fishing and watching Star Trek.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Rita Dawn Schultz Shreves.
Surviving are a son and caregiver of the home, Richard Shannon Shreves of the home. Two step-daughters, Cheryl Crooks of Woodsfield, Ohio; Melanie Masi of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a step-son Sparkie Aubrey of Long, S.C.; his 19 year old dog, Noel; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; an aunt and uncle Romona and Joe Banaski, formerly of Tiltonsville, Ohio.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date with military honors.
