Richard D. Lumbatis

     Richard D. Lumbatis, 83, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his home.

     He was born in Lewisville, Ohio on April 3, 1937 a son of the late Jacob Ward “Bodie” Lumbatis and Beulah Gray Lumbatis.

     Richard was a retired mechanic for the Ohio Operating Engineers, Local 18, Akron, Ohio and had served in the Ohio National Guard from 1960-1964.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbi Lumbatis and a brother, David Lumbatis.

     Surviving are his wife, Janice K. Willis Lumbatis; one daughter, Keisha K. (Jim) Colson of Utah; one son, Kyle D. (Lisa) Lumbatis of Newark, Ohio; one step-daughter, Kristal D. (Mike) Coleman of Hannibal, Ohio; two step-sons, Ritchie L. Brown of Galloway, Ohio, Ted Brown of Parkersburg, West Virginia; two sisters, Jeanie Roe of Lewisville, Ohio, Marlene Crum of Tennessee; one brother, Gale (Angel) Lumbatis of Lewisville, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Erin and Rilla Coleson, Danielle, Tori and Jacob Lumbatis, Kaelee Benkovic, Leekycia Brown, Emma and Anna Betts, and Tucker Boggs.

     As per Richard’s request, there will be no visitation or service.

     Following cremation, an inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.

     Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

     Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.
