Richard Marion Pancost of Graysville, OH, previously from Hiram, OH passed away following a long battle with heart failure. Richard was born in Geneva, OH on September 1st, 1938 to the late Edwin L. and Edith B. Pancost.
Richard will be deeply missed by his loving wife Susan, two children Richard (Heather) Pancost, and Edwin (Kim) Pancost, two grandchildren Jacob, and Maia (Mike), one surviving sister Joan and many beloved nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother LeeRoy and twin sister Ruth.
Richard was a veteran of the US Army and served in the 101st Airborne division. He enjoyed reading Western novels, bowling, and camping. He was an alumnus of Hiram High School and received a Bachelor's degree from Akron University. Richard was a foreman and supervisor for Cantex. Additionally loved working at his dairy farm which he owned and operated with his family in Hiram for many years.
Richard loved his family and was always ready to joke and poke fun whenever possible.
His retirement was spent in Southern Ohio where he could drive his horse and carriage, enjoy relaxing with his loving wife, and lend a hand when someone was in need.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be announced to celebrate his life and will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.
