Robert R. “Bob”, “Chip”, “Hippie” Elder III ,64, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at his home.
He was born at Coshocton, Ohio on December 3, 1959 a son of Nora Marie (Richard) Guinther Fry who survives of Coshocton, Ohio and the late Robert Raymond Elder Jr.
Robert was a truck driver and president of the local union for the Monroe County Department of Engineers. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the V.F.W., Bethesda.
Bob enjoyed riding motorcycles and was known for storytelling.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Elder.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Dixie Good Elder whom he married on May 22, 2002; four sisters, Paula (Jeff) Rowlands of Barnesville, Ohio, Linda (Jim) McConnell of Coshocton, Ohio, Jan Elder of Barnesville, Ohio, Mary (Dick) McCune of Port Washington, Ohio; two brothers, Scott (Tami) Elder of West Lafayette, Ohio, Luke (Sheri) Elder of Urbana, Ohio.
There will be no visitation. As per Bob’s request a cremation will take place with inurnment at the convenience of the family.
