Stanley Byron Maienknecht

     Stanley B. Maienknecht, 92, of Sardis, Ohio (Antioch Community) passed away Monday, November 1, 2021at his home.

     He was born at New Martinsville, W. Va. on March 7, 1929 a son of the late George and Elsie Price Maienknecht.

     Stanley was a retired Master Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War and the Vietnam Era.  He also retired as a teacher, Principal and former Superintendent of the Switzerland of Ohio School District.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Maienknecht.

     Surviving are his wife, Theresa Koerner Maienknecht, two nieces, Kathy (Dennis) Dye of Marietta, Ohio NS Kim (Kevin) Weddle of Sardis, Ohio.

     Abiding by Stanley’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.  Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
