Sylvia J. Nelson

    Sylvia J. Nelson, 80, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the WVU Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia.

     She was born at Middleport, Ohio on August 7, 1944 a daughter of the late William Rowley and Mary Elizabeth Underwood Rowley.

     Sylvia was a homemaker and a former caregiver to the elderly. She was a member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield, Ohio.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Nelson and a son, Billy Leonard and a sister, Evelyn Fields.

     Surviving are two sons, Larry Nelson Jr. of Woodsfield, Ohio, Shane Nelson of Woodsfield, Ohio; one daughter, Tillie (John) Moore of Loris, South Carolina and one granddaughter, Taylor Nelson

     There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family at the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.
