Theresa "Meme" Bell

     Theresa “Meme” Bell, 95, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Monroe County Care Center, Woodsfield, Ohio.

     She was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on January 29, 1923 a daughter of the late Stephen and Catherine Starinsky Mayger.

     Theresa was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening; bowled for over 40 years, board games, an avid bingo player, loved animals and spending time with her family.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Bell on August 2, 1982; a son, Denis R. Bell; five brothers, Steve, Mike, John, George, and Andy Mayger; five sisters, Elizabeth Baker, Mary Bumar, Ann Putz, Helen Baum, and Catherine Mehalic; a son-in-law, Kermit Henthorn; and a granddaughter, Trish Henthorn.

     Surviving are four daughters, Carol J. Schumacher, Janet L. Henthorn, Denise (Ray) Dalrymple, all of Woodsfield, Ohio, and Sandra L. Bell of Arlington, Texas; nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 with Vigil services at 7:45 p.m.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. David Gaydosik as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Sylvester Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
