Thurman Ray Myers Sr.

     Thurman Ray Myers Sr., 79, of Graysville, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Monroe County Care Center, Woodsfield, Ohio.

     He was born near New Matamoras, Ohio on May 30, 1940 a son of the late Lloyd and Ruby Varner Myers.

     He was a retired construction worker and formerly worked for Whitacre Enterprises. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Church of Christ.  

     He enjoyed visiting with neighbors and drinking coffee.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thurman Ray “Bubby” Myers Jr.; three sisters, Ann Leister, Wanda Moore, Sarah King; and his companion’s daughter, Cathy Ring.

     Surviving are one daughter, Angela (Wayne) Patterson of Colbert, Georgia; two brothers, Calvin (Doris) Myers of Canton, Ohio, William (Shirley) Myers of Canton, Ohio; one sister, Mary Thompson of North Long Beach, California; his companion of 50 plus years Dorothy Mae Ridgeway Whitacre; her children, Shelia (Bill) Voight, Lynette (Tom) Cochran, Cindy Hendershot, Carl (Kim) Whitacre; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

     There will be no visitation or service.

     Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.
