Wilma M. Burkhart, 84, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at her home.
She was born near Fulda, Ohio on March 3, 1934 a daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen Crum Crock.
Wilma was a homemaker and a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg, Ohio where she was also a member of the Catholic Womens Club.
She enjoyed mowing the grass, playing bingo, Yahtzee, gardening, farming and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Burkhart in 1997; two sisters, Hazel May, Betty Doty; and one great grandson, Joshua Nelson.
Surviving are four sons, David (Robin) Burkhart of Yulee, Florida, Robert (Teresa) Burkhart of Lewisville, Ohio, Donald Burkhart of Quaker City, Ohio, George (Joyce) Burkhart of Woodsfield, Ohio; two daughters, Judy Carpenter of Caldwell, Ohio, Kathy (Jim) Robson of Canal Winchester, Ohio; one sister, Linda Swallie and friend Jim Robinson of Barnesville, Ohio; one brother, Robert (Vera) Crock of Massillon, Ohio, seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dog Sadie.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg, Ohio with Rev. David Gaydosik as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Miltonsburg, Ohio.
Vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
