Yvonne L. Carpenter

Yvonne L. Carpenter, 83, of New Bern, North Carolina (formerly of Summerfield, Ohio) passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Pruitt Health Neuse, New Bern, North Carolina.

She was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on December 22, 1937 a daughter of the late Glenn and Virginia Brown Wilson.

She was a homemaker and a former owner of the Carpenter’s Mercantile, Summerfield, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman B. Carpenter on March 23, 2013, two brothers, Delou Wilson and Ray Wilson, and a sister, Audry Royce.

Surviving are a son, Ricky (Deborah) Carpenter of New Bern, North Carolina; a daughter, Cheryl (Pete) Tappa of Montello, Wisconsin; five brothers, Wayne Wilson, James Wilson, Gerald Wilson, Timothy Wilson, Teddy Wilson; one sister, Pamela Keith; five grandsons, Michael (Serena) Carpenter of Port Angeles, Washington, Eric (Mahea) Carpenter of Snohomish, Washington, Nicholas (Nicola) Carpenter of McKinney, Texas, Shawn (Nastassia) Tappa of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Tim (Maddy) Tappa of Racine, Wisconsin; three great-grandchildren, Evelyn Carpenter, Ashton Tappa and Thea Tappa.

Friends will be received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 with Jimmie Moore officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Calais Cemetery, Calais, Ohio.
