         Damon R. Argabrite, 85, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Marietta Center, Marietta, Ohio.

          He was born in Otter, West Virginia (Clay County) on March 24, 1932 a son of the late Ledra and Maude Rollison Argabrite and raised by his late grandparents George and Emma Carte.

          Damon was a retired fork lift operator for the Ford Motor Company, Cleveland Stamping Plant, Walton Hills, Ohio with 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War and was a former member of the Loyal of Moose Lodge #2247, Woodsfield, Ohio. Damon loved his family and friends and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and listening to blue grass music. He also enjoyed playing Amazing Grace on his harmonica whenever he was able.

     In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by four brothers-in-law, Edward Hively, Jim McCracken, Gene Martin, Brooks May; two sisters-in-law, Sybil McCracken, Barbara Mays; and a nephew, Martin McCracken.

     Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Brenda Hively Argabrite whom he married on November 3, 1956; two daughters, Debra Stallings of Akron, Ohio, Denise (John) Tanksley of Norton, Ohio; two sisters, Donna Ruth May of Cumberland, Ohio, Ellendeen Lions of Toledo, Ohio; four grandsons, Jeremy (Kristy) Long of Tallmadge, Ohio, Philip Ferguson IV of Norton, Ohio, Michael (Allison) Ferguson of Willoughby, Ohio, Corey Tanksley of Norton, Ohio; two great granddaughters, Peyton Riley Long and Haidyn Ray Long; several nieces and nephews.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 with Pastor Bill Abrams officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery, Lewisville, Ohio.

          Military services will be conducted at the funeral home.
